52nd International Research Conference of IARIGAI - September 8-11, 2026

Grenoble INP - Pagora and the LGP2 welcome iarigai (the International Association of Research Organizations for the Information, Media and Graphic Arts Industries) and IC (International Circle of Educational Institutes of Graphic-Media Technology and Management) in Grenoble, France, for their annual conferences, to take place on September 8-11, 2026.

Call for contribution and submission of extended abstract

Authors are invited to submit Extended Abstracts of their research results for a conference presentation. The conferences encompass a broad range of print and media research topics. Key focus areas for the iarigai conference include but are not limited to:
  • printing processes and technologies
  • additive manufacturing
  • security printing
  • printed electronics
  • packaging printing and finishing,
  • functionalization by printing processes,
  • functional inks and ink characterization, 
  • new applications of printing processes, 
  • print quality, 
  • standards and specifications, 
  • circular economy and sustainability, 
  • use of bio-based materials, 
  • artificial intelligence and augmented reality,
  • colour and colour management

Only quality contributions, not previously published or presented, will be considered. An Extended Abstract of 2000 to 3000 words (including 3-5 keywords) prepared in .docx or .doc format using the Official Submission Template following the Guidelines (available on this website when logged) for Authors should be submitted online not later than 6 March, 2026. The extended abstracts should be informative enough, including diagrams and graphics to allow for an evaluation of the scientific and/or technical value of the contribution. 

Therefore, they should include clear statements on:
  • the objectives of the research,
  • the research methods,
  • the results including suitable supporting diagrams and graphics,
  • the conclusions, clearly indicating the novelty of the work.

If you don’t have an EasyChair account already, you need to create one:
  • Enter the captcha code, then your name and contact details
  • You will receive an email. Follow the link to complete the account creation.
Once you have the EasyChair account, log in with your username and password. Under the ‘New Submission’-tab, you will find the link to the official template of the Extended Abstract and the Guidelines for Authors. Write the required author information, title and keywords, choose one or more corresponding topic categories, upload your extended abstract and SUBMIT. You will receive an email of confirmation. 

Submissions by email will not be considered. 

After submission

All received extended abstracts will be reviewed by at least two independent experts. The authors of reviewer-recommended contributions will be expected to submit the final text of the extended abstract prior to acceptance, responding to the requirements of the reviewers no later than 10 May, 2026.  All the authors of submitted Extended Abstracts will be informed of the results of the selection not later than 15 June, 2026. 

Authors will be invited to give the presentation only if previously registered for the conference and provide a short biography. Extended Abstracts selected for presentation will be available for conference participants in the form of conference proceedings. Presentation slides will be additionally available on the iarigai website. 

Authors of high-quality contributions will be invited subsequently to submit complete papers for possible publishing in the peer reviewed Journal of Print and Media Technology Research.
