Water is a key component in paper manufacturing. To reduce the environmental impact of paper manufacturing, one of the key strategies is to reduce the amount of water used. The Cell’Eau project aims to better understand the role of water in shaping the properties of paper during production and to determine the optimal amount of water needed to produce paper with the desired mechanical properties. The goal is to minimize water usage in order to move toward more efficient and sustainable papermaking processes.
