Emilien Fréville, double award winner

Émilien Fréville, a research engineer at LGP2, received the Innovation Thesis Award and the CSR 2025 Thesis Award for his research work among UGA PhDs graduating in 2024.
On November 15, 2024, Emilien Fréville defended his thesis entitled: Use of twin-screw extruder for innovative cellulose based packaging by injection and thermocompression.

His work aims to propose biosourced and recyclable alternatives to plastic packaging, using existing plastics processes (extrusion, injection, thermocompression). The final packaging must be recyclable in the current paper/cardboard industry.

The results of his thesis have enabled him to obtain funding for the Injectose project, which aims to bring the cellulose fiber injection molding process to industrial scale.
